MidSoc are excited to present our first in-person event for the year — Breastfeeding and Medicines with Rodney Whyte OAM. ?This event will be a fascinating exploration of the use of therapeutic medicines throughout pregnancy and during breastfeeding. Rodney Whyte has been a pharmacist at Monash Health for 36 years. In that time he has worked with various departments, teams, community members and organisations in providing his extensive expertise in the use of therapeutic medicines — particularly in pregnancy and breastfeeding, paediatrics and women’s health. In 2017 Rodney was awarded the prestigious Victorian Pharmacist Medal for his work providing information and counselling to doctors, pharmacists, nurses, midwives, members of the public, and especially to expectant and breastfeeding mothers. In 2021, he was awarded the Medal (OAM) of the Order of Australia for his contributions to Ph*rm*cy and the community.
