Breaking Static: A Teen Poetry Writing and Performance Workshop

This two-day poetry workshop (held on Saturday April 20 and Sunday April 21 from 1-3 pm) will introduce you to Flor y Canto, a poetry practice rooted in indigenous Mesoamerican cultures, facilitated by Aideed Medina, poet and spoken word artist.
Create your own poetry and learn how to bring your words to life through spoken word performances while also exploring the works and contributions to art, poetry, and society of the dynamic educator, poet and artist Faricita Hall Wyatt. This is a free program open to all teens (ages 12-18).
