Six-week writing workshop
Sundays, September 28 to November 2
1:00-3:00pm
Instructor: Mollie Cox Bryan
Discover the power of the heroine's journey and learn to craft female protagonists who leap off the page. While the traditional hero’s journey has shaped countless stories, the heroine's journey often takes a different path through inner transformation, community building, and wisdom integration. In this 6-week workshop, you'll explore unique stages of storytelling centered on women’s experiences—from awakening through trials to transformation and return as guide. Through character development exercises and analysis of beloved heroines from literature and film, you'll learn to craft complex, resilient women who resonate with modern readers. Whether crafting contemporary fiction, fantasy, or literary works, leave with a fully developed heroine and the confidence to tell her story.
The class will take place at Stone Soup Books in Waynesboro (402 W Main Street). Class fee is $170.
