Please register today to join the Breaking Bread, Advancing Equity series, which is a program running concurrently with EquityED 2024: An Antiracist Education Conference.

We hope that YOU will consider joining us personally for these three special events, in addition to registering for the EquityED 2024 conference itself.

The work we do at to increase equity in education cannot be done in schools alone, we need the collaboration of our partners in all sections and sectors of society. Consider registering for these conversations if you want to:

  • Build a culturally competent and culturally responsive community that will create a more equitable future for our youth
  • Participate in facilitated conversation and open dialogue around what can be done to support transforming our own work to support antiracist education
  • Network and build community with like-minded leaders and advocates
  • Break bread over dinner and breakfast with us!

  • Time: 5:00 PM doors open (5:30 PM dinner)
  • Location: Northwest African American Museum Legacy Hall, 2300 South Massachusetts Street, Seattle, WA 98144
  • Details: Join us for Breaking Bread, Advancing Equity. An exclusive gathering of educational leaders and community members committed to creating a more equitable future for our youth. Through open dialogue, a powerful racial wealth gap simulation, and collaborative problem-solving, we will explore strategies to dismantle systemic barriers and forge a path toward a more just and inclusive educational system.


<h4>Community Network Council’s Breaking Bread, Advancing Equity Breakfast & Dialogue:</h4>
  • Date: Thursday, October 3, 2024
  • Time: 7:30 AM doors open (8:00 AM program begins)
  • Location: Hilton SeaTac, Mercer Room, 17620 International Blvd, Seattle, WA 98188
  • Details: Build on the dinner conversation and co-create a blueprint for systemic change in the education system. Immediately after, join our conference sessions for more interactive learning and community building.

  • Date: Wednesday, October 2, 2024
  • Time: 5:00 PM
  • Location: Hilton SeaTac, Mercer Room, 17620 International Blvd, Seattle, WA 98188
  • Details: Join the conference attendees for an evening of connection and celebration. There will be music, noshing, and revelry.
