Tatiane Vita is a global marketing and international expansion executive and advisor with more than 25 years’ experience driving business growth across retail, franchising, education, circular economy, and sustainability. She has led teams of over 1,500 people in more than 200 locations—spanning the Americas to Asia—to scale operations from startup to over 1,000 sites worldwide.
A recognized TEDx speaker and LinkedIn Top Voice, Tatiane is committed to breaking barriers for working mothers and advancing gender equality in senior leadership. Her work blends operational expertise with market insights to foster sustainable growth and empower individuals and organizations across the globe.

Nihal Elwan is the Founder of Tayybeh Foods, a Vancouver-based social enterprise, award-winning caterer, food processor and restaurant with a mission to empower and uplift newcomer and refugee women from Syria and the Middle East by offering delicious, healthy and authentic Halal Syrian and Middle Eastern fare. Prior to starting Tayybeh, Nihal spent 17 years working for International organizations as a qualitative researcher with a focus on gender and women’s issues in the region.

*Tamara Pongracz*
Tamara is the Department Head, of the BCIT Trades Access group. An advocate of Trades and Apprenticeship Training, Tamara is an Inter-Provincial Certified Plumber (RSE – 1995) with a Master of Education Degree (2010) from Simon Fraser University. Ms. Pongracz was invited to contribute to the BCIT Women in Trades Program in 1996 and shortly after decided to leave industry to join BCIT.
She has been a Department Head for over 25 years. The programs and services offered through Trades Access have helped thousands of folks find their skilled trades career match. Tamara is especially proud of the hundreds of tradeswomen she has assisted into successful, well-paying trades careers. Active in the BCIT community, Tamara was elected by her peers to be the Faculty Representative on BCIT’s Board of Governors. Tamara contributes to the Construction Foundation of BC as an Executive Board Director. Ms. Pongracz received a BCIT Teaching Excellence Award in 2005, an Employee Excellence Award (Inclusivity) in 2019, and was recognized by the Vancouver Regional Construction Association as Outstanding Woman in Construction 2007. Tamara is a proud descendant of the Haida Nation (Old Massett Village Council).
*Julia Kaisla*
Julia has over 14 years of experience working in B.C.’s mental health and substance use sector. As the Executive Director at CAI, Julia works alongside grantees, government and sector partners, the board of directors and the skilled and knowledgeable CAI team to ensure community wisdom is at the centre of granting models and civic engagement (CAI’s core strategic activities).
Under her leadership, CAI has achieved full financial and operational independence. Prior to joining CAI, Julia worked as the Executive Director at the Canadian Mental Health Association North Shore branch where she worked alongside the provincial office of CMHA to co-create the province’s Peer Assisted Care Team model. She also worked closely with partner communities and knowledge keepers across the province to build a curriculum for Indigenous peers. Her work with health authority partners led to the launch of Metro Vancouver’s first Recovery College.
She holds a Master of Arts degree in Conflict Analysis from Royal Roads University and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from UBC. Outside of work, Julia’s passions involve everything to do with food (including baking), being in the forest with her family, and travel.
