One for the business owners (obvs) in here!How's business? If you're up to your ears for the next few months then scroll on, you're doing great, keep doing that thing. Maybe share what you're doing to get those results in the comment with a cheeky tag to your business page, g'waan! If you're looking to fill your diary that much more then carry on reading. Particuarly if you are a solicitor, photographer, or architect (for example) were asked for in our January meeting.
Now, unlike other how other Networking group's members post vague info about their events on FB local business pages (blows my mind why they'd hide these details, not helpful to anyone, puts away ??) I'm going to be totally upfront with who we are, what we do and how much it is. I know right? So refreshing and we're not wasting anyone's time! Here we go...
Details:
?♀Who: I'm Luke the resident Videographer and proud member of Nexus Networking in Chelmsford
?When: it's once a month which is totally doable vs the weekly others require, first Tuesday so the next one is on Dec 5th
?Food: We have a Full English option - pictured, actually what you get not a stock photo, its very good. Other dietary options are available and can be catered fo if we're told in advance please.
⌛Time: It's 630-830am
?Where: The Hive in Chelmsford , within Oaklands Park
?Cost: If you're a named guest then it's free to check us out, membership is £50 p/mth, no massive up-front fees. I'm getting that checked as it was a new announcement and I cant read my notes!
?Meeting: Doors open at 630, open networking whilst you load up on tea + coffee, meeting starts around 7 and whilst we await/ breakfast is served introductions are made from the group leaders, co-ordinators etc and a bit about how Nexus works with and for your with our 7 pronged approach that membership provides.
Then we have a 10 minute guest presentation which is filmed which is one of the 7 prongs if the member wants it to be filmed. Why film it? Well this goes onto the Nexus Youtube page - as well as to the member directly - and can be used as a marketing tool because its social proof that you really know what you're talking about when it comes to your business. As illustrated by Danny Nevill of Universal Web Design. After than concludes we go around the room with our 40 second pitches where you explain a bit about you.
One good format to concider if you're new to Networking is
• Who you are
• What you do - always good to remind members or educate us on new offerings
• Why you're great at it
• Who you're looking for connections to - be specific Then its 121s where you'll get paired up with another member to have a 2 way conversation about eachothers businesses. I typically breakout my phone and get LinkedIn going to see how I can help out the person I'm with. We all know on average 600+ people though with Social Media its probably way more than that now so a quick search can be massive to another business owner. After the 121s its back to the room for the Positive Contribution round which is where you'll see business building and referrals exchange in action which is what we're doing this all for isnt it? That breakfast though....
