Bread Making: Grandma’s BraidDate: March 1, Noon – 2:30 PM
Join us for a special bread-making session where we’ll be recreating Grandma’s Braid – a family recipe passed down from Jennifer Hamman’s grandmother. Originally called Easter Braid, Jennifer has given it a modern twist, crafting a light, fluffy, and slightly sweet bread similar to challah, but without eggs.
During this demonstration, you'll learn how to make this unique braid by dividing the dough into six pieces and braiding them into two strands, one placed on top of the other for a perfect rise. This versatile bread makes a delicious addition to any meal, from holiday feasts to everyday sandwiches, and even French toast!
Don’t miss out on the chance to taste this crowd-pleasing bread and take home the skills to recreate it for your own family and friends.
