BREAD PILOT: breadpilotband.bandcamp.com/
" Bread Pilot has constructed a world of their own in the ten years since their inception. This tight-knit collective of young musicians brings the whole studio into their records, with music drenched in moody introspection, bright guitar pop, and poignant harmonizations. Their songs, crafted by two singer-songwriters and often packed with sweeping, emotive dynamics, are performed with a sense of self-effacing precision that drives every sentiment further.
Originating in Connecticut before relocating to Seattle, Washington, Bread Pilot has found themselves sharing lineups with Alex G, Horse Jumper of Love, Great Grandpa, Sean Henry, Elvis Depressedly and other favorites. Their new record, “New to You,” combines their pensive sound with new twists and a dash of perfectionism that showcases an almost palpable passion for the music."

BABEHOVEN: babehoven.com/
Since starting Babehoven in Portland, Oregon in 2017, Maya Bon has shown herself to be a gifted heart-on-sleeve songwriter, using music to peel back the layers of her own experiences—sometimes sad, sometimes surreal, always vividly rendered—to reveal universal emotional truths hidden in the most intimately personal of details. On Babehoven’s new EP, Sunk, Bon seeks to answer a seemingly simple yet ultimately life changing question: what would happen if, rather than constantly fighting against the immovable tides of unfixable things—broken relationships, a fractured society, a future that erodes daily in the face of climate change—she gave herself permission to stop struggling altogether. What beauty might life attain if the choice to give up—to become “sunk”—was reframed as an act of self-care rather than one of defeat? “Sinking can be a form of self acceptance, allowing oneself to let go of the narrative that we have to keep treading water in order to succeed—there are ways to move on from the parts of ourselves and our lives that feel unmanageably difficult and hopeless,” says Bon of the EP’s title.

CRUSHING:
“With roots from Anacortes, Whidbey, and Bremerton, Washington, “crushing” is the new moniker that umbrellas now Seattle residing musicians; Alex Heubel, Nathan Reed, Sophia Duccini, and Luke Jacobson. The band was created in the winter of 2022 to accommodate Alex’s music. “Anacortes was such a surreal and of course eerie place to be as a songwriter. Though it was in the midst of the pandemic, I moved to Seattle to experience my life as a songwriter and the raw emotions that would follow.” Cushing's music creates vivid imagery of happiness and sorrow tangled in the band's ambient and rock adjacent sound. Cushing's first anticipated EP consists of catchy melodies and harmonies backed up by Nathan Reed and Sophia Duccini. Heubel allows himself to freely and subtly express emotions about his life at large in the writings of his music. “
