Bread & Health WorkshopOn Saturday 23rd November from 11am-3.30pm we will be joined by Giovanni Di Sarno for this exciting new workshop. Giovanni will host a Bread and Health workshop (Wholemeal, Rye and Barley bread making). Eating bread does much more for the health of our bodies than many people might imagine, especially when it comes to digestion and intestinal health. Rye flour, Wholemeal flour and Barley flour have interesting nutritional credentials. They have a high level of dietary fiber called beta-glucan, known to lower blood cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart disease. Also a good source of iron, B vitamins, and resistant starch which generally improves gut health.
During the day you will make many different loaves from scratch. Giovanni will guide you through every step, from discussing ingredients, mixing and kneading the dough, proving, shaping, scoring and baking. Suitable for all abilities. A lunch will be served and hot drinks, refreshments and recipes will be included.
