Bread & Butter Poetry Slam is the Inner West's newest, most oven-fresh poetry night! Join us every last Thursday of the month* for poems, feelings and laughs in a safe and inclusive space.
Our November slam is the 2024 Bread & Butter Poetry Slampionship! Be amazed as poetry Champions from every slam of the year return to battle it out across THREE action-packed rounds for the title of 2024 Bread & Butter Poetry Slampion. But that’s not all. Before our Champions take the stage, the program will kick off with a classic, entree-sized poetry slam for which any brave poet can sign up at the door. Don’t miss out on this history-making night!

What is a poetry slam?
A poetry slam is an open mic for poetry where the points matter. Judges are randomly selected from the audience to determine our slam champion for each month. Sign up to perform an original poem on the night, or just come be part of our audience. We'd love to have you!

Refund Policy
All refund requests must be submitted through Eventbrite. We will honour refund requests submitted up to 7 days before an event only, though exceptions may be made in extenuating circumstances.
