About this Event
Welcome to Brazos Valley Speed Dating! Are you ready to meet new people and potentially find a connection in your age range? Join us in person at Hush and Whisper Distillery Co. for a fun and exciting evening of speed dating. This event is exclusively for local folks aged 40-49 looking to meet like-minded individuals in a relaxed and casual setting. Don't miss this opportunity to make new friends or even find that special someone. Register now and get ready for a night of laughter, conversation, and maybe even a spark!
Event Structure
- Check-In & Mingle (30 mins): Get checked in with staff, grab your nametag, fill out a raffle card, get a drink, get some snacks, and go to your assigned seat when it's time to start. At this event, daters from the 50-59 event will be mingling after their speed dating is done at 7:30pm, and daters from 40-49 are welcome to mingle with that age group as well during check-in until their event starts at 8:00pm.
- Instructions (5 mins): Staff will welcome you and provide you with instructions on how the rounds will move.
- Speed Dating Rounds with Breaks (60-90 mins - but depends on # of daters): Women stay seated while the men rotate to the next highest numbered table at the end of each 5-minute date. Organizers time the dates and give instructions (turn lights on/off) for everyone to move to their next date. We do 5 dates in a row, take a break, then do another 5 dates in a row. If we're maxed out for the night (up to 15 dates total), we'll do another round of dates before closing.
- Closing (5 mins): Draw the winner of the raffle, and give instructions for how to submit your connection card after the event.
- Post-Event (until midnight): Daters submit their connection cards digitally for who they'd like to connect with for a second date. Everyone who was in attendance (both men and women) will be on the connection card. Within 48 hours, BVSD will email you with your connection(s) or to let you know if you did not connect with anyone at this event. We encourage everyone to submit a form even if they don't want to connect with anyone they met for a second date, as we still want your feedback and thoughts!
