and the owner of the Baile Project; Anna Marques, teaching Brazilian Funk Jogação
Suitable for all levels, with no previous experience required, this workshop goes step-by-step into both dances giving you a insight of these cultures through dance; experiencing the baile funk dance to Amsterdam

A fun energetic dance style created in the favela's bailes of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The Teacher: Roberto Soli
Roberto Soli (@robertosoli_)
Is a professional dancer born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Roberto is a national reference when it comes to Brazilian Funk Culture, and has an extensive training background in Urban Dance and Brazilian Funk and has participated as a dancer in music videos by DJ Renan da Penha ("Namorar não pode", with MC Max), Kevin O Chris ("Baila pra mim"), Nego do Borel ("Me loose"), Os Hawaianos ("Encosta"), Luan Otten and Gaab ("TZÃO") and MC Dudu ("Juras de amor"). He has also danced at the 2014 World Cup, at the 2016 Olympic Games, on the front commission of Império da Tijuca, at the 2019 Multishow Award, alongside Ludmilla, and is proud to have participated in the Renan da Penha's Baile.
In 2022 Soli went viral on the Internet with the Brazilian Funk video dancing "Árvore Seca" and began to gain notoriety on social media, being interviewed by some of the biggest renowned media, such as O Globo, in Brazil.
The Teacher: Anna Marques
Anna Marques (@annartmarques)
Is a professional dancer and actress from Brazil. Having a bachelor degree in Performing Arts by the University of Brasilia - UnB, Anna works as dancer, dance teacher and actress since 2015; her studies of dance include an extensive training in Urban and Latin Dance, in both professional dance companies and in the commercial performance market. In 2022 she founded the Baile Project (@thebaileproject) aiming to produce Cultural Events and Classes related to Brazilian and Latin Culture in Europe - from a women point of view - deconstructing stereotype towards brazilian women.
