About this Event
The Creative Pathways Collective invites you to be a part of a powerful night dedicated to promoting human rights and self-expression. As the New Year draws near, we want to spotlight the strong sense of uncertainty among many people in our community. In response, our organization has developed a platform with the goal of fostering solidarity and unity through creative expression. We are calling all poets, story tellers, singers and musicians to share their art as we come together and listen to each other as a community.
Also featured within the venue will be the work of our very own local Oakland Artist, lily (instagram: @lilysolstudio)
Artists sign in at the door. We ask that you maintain a 4 minute maximum performance length to ensure that we are able to make space for all who sign up. There will be an entrance fee of $10 or proof of $7 donation through our website or $9.31 through eventbrite. The mission of Creative Pathways Collective is to serve and empower the underrepresented and at risk members of the Oakland and Berkeley communities through art, professional development, and social services.
We want to be as transparent to the public as possible. In the spirit of our values, please note that the first $350 of payments received from the entrance fee will go to the venue and kind services, the remaining proceeds from the event will fund our mission as a public service organization. The Starry Plough will kindly donate 10% of bar proceeds during the performances.
