Brave Hearts: Nurturing Opportunities & Aspirations for Hope (NOAH)Join Midwestern University students and faculty for an inclusive, fun, and educational event for children with special needs (up to age 18) and their caregivers. Attendees can participate in many free and interactive workshops, games, and screenings and receive instruction and resources on medication management, motor skills, picky eating, mental health literacy, epilepsy and seizures, and more. Attendees will receive fitness screenings and screenings for dental, oral/swallowing, and foot issues and have their vital signs taken and assessed. Special Olympics AZ will provide outdoor field games and fitness activities.
Free interactive workshops, resources, games, and screenings include:
• Dental, foot, fitness, oral/swallowing, and vital signs screenings
• Informational resource tables on medication management, motor skills, picky eating, mental health literacy, epilepsy/seizures, and more
• Outdoor field games and fitness activities with Special Olympics AZ
