About this Event
This is real. The world is nothing like it was even 15 years ago. Ministry is a shell of what it used to be, and leaders who truly care about the church seem lost in the cultural shifts and the unrealistic expectations of those clinging to the past. God urged us to pray for and develop more workers for this ripe field, but few have ventured where these emerging laborers must go if the church is to become a viable and respectable witness again.
Sunday-centric expressions will continue to exist, but their impact on a lost world will keep declining. Simply filling rooms won't shape the church of the future. What will? Spiritual Archaeologists, Artists, and Architects who choose marginalized, impoverished cities and neighborhoods. These individuals will bring together benevolent business enterprises, contextual justice work, and a network of intentional neighborhood-based homes to form kingdom ecosystems—what we call "brave cities."
What if Proverbs 11:10 was our guiding principle? "When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices." The book of Acts laid out this story for us, and history is full of examples of small, non-consumer, enterprising communities that transformed entire regions and changed the possibilities for life, community, and church.
We need leaders who can thrive in this new era. What leaders need most is to see something tangible that gives them a glimpse of what their future could be.
This is why we are now offering Brave Cities Immersions.
