Brassed Off is a 1996 drama-comedy from British director Mark Herman (The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas) which is screening as part of the UNTHINKABLE Film Festival. The film, which follows the Grimley Colliery Brass band as they enter a national competition to save their Yorkshire town’s coal town, will be followed by a Q+A by the director himself.
Herman was born in Bridlington and has led a fruitful career in the film industry, and we are delighted he has chosen to come back to Hull for the UNTHINKABLE film festival for a second year in a row.
