The Brandon Area Winter Basketball League is back for season 5!With over 500 participants last year, this is South Dakota's largest fundamental skill development and teaching league for elementary basketball players. Sessions are led by 2025 SD High School Coach of the Year Craig Nelson, along with Brandon Valley Freshmen Girls Coach Ketty (Cornemann) Paula and SDSU Jackrabbit alum Stacie (Oistad) Aamlid.
Daily Curriculum of our 90 minute sessions consist of 30 minutes of Fundamental Skills, 30 minutes of Conceptual Learning, and then 30 minutes of Age Appropriate Competitive Gameplay.
Sundays starting Nov. 2nd at BVMS & BVHS. All K-2nd grade sessions filled to max capacity last season so get registered ASAP.

This is a great introduction to basketball in the younger ages. We focus on having fun while learning skills and building confidence and enjoyment for the game. This also serves as a great additional league for older ages. If you are already in a 5 on 5 basketball league, this is a great complement to that in terms of furthering your skill development, your understanding of the game, and competing in guided 3 on 3 and 4 on 4 gameplay with experienced coaches.
