About this Event

Join Casey Trees from August 11-15 for a week-long summer nature camp to discover what trees do for our environment.

Campers will be focused on collecting materials from nature to create their own plant library that they can take home at the end of the week. Additional activities will be rooted in STEAM themes including science experiments, crafts, neighborhood hiking, and a field trip! Program topics include air quality, climate change, pollinators, urban forestry, caring for our local watershed, and stewardship. Campers will explore the natural world while working as a team, making new friends, and developing a connection to the outdoors. Our field trip will take place on the last day of camp to the Washington Youth Garden in the US National Arboretum where your camper can see these topics firsthand.

Outdoor learning experiences are vital to developing a child’s mental, physical, and emotional well-being. At Casey Trees, we believe in equitable and accessible programming. To learn more about our educational programs, visit our website here.

Field Trip: August 15th to the US National Arboretum. We will be bussing our campers and counselors to the field trip location. The camp will start and end at the normal Casey Trees location at normal camp drop-off and pick-up times.

Who should attend?
