We’ve arranged for our Ward Councillor Michael Palleschi & Navjit Kaur Brar (Wards 2 & 6), to meet with us and hear residents’ concerns directly. This is a chance to make sure our voices are counted. We hope to also engage with other city officials such as the bylaw office.Key issues affecting Brampton residents:
* 💸 Frivolous city spending — a 2023 building purchase went $8–13 million over market value, funded from public reserve accounts.
* ⚠️ Bylaw changes with no public consultation — fines are issued immediately, with no grace period for residents.
* 📷 Automated Speed Enforcement cameras — revenue and impact remain unclear, raising questions about transparency and effectiveness.
* 📝 Ignored petitions — residents submit petitions that are approved but no action is ever taken.
* 🧑🤝🧑 Minimal public participation — key decisions affecting our city are made without meaningful resident input.
👉 Your concerns might be different — and that’s okay.
We’re collecting feedback from residents to present directly to the councillor.
