Robert Craven Memorial Hall (originally the Craven Institute) was built in 1896 using the legacy of a local farmer, Robert Craven. It was first used as a working men’s club and then later became a community hall. It is now administered as a local charity.
There have been strange reports in the hall including poltergeist activity. Unusual occurrences have literally grabbed the attention of people here. Some have fled the building whilst claiming they have been touched by something unseen. Fixtures have flown from walls, voices and loud banging have been heard. Eerie singing and creepy piano music have also been heard coming from upstairs. Previous investigators have had intelligent responses on EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) recorders and on their Rem Pods. There was also a report of a ping pong ball being thrown in response to a child spirit being asked to play.
So come join us and become a paranormal investigator for the night at this intriguing location.
