Hello my friends. Dust off your picnic blankets and dig out those fridge leftovers because I’m bringing this back! I have many quaint memories for each picnic we’ve had so I was thinking…plenty new faces have given graceful presence to On The Fly and other chapters in the last year and a bit; why not get us all out in the sun on a Saturday!?
My picnics feature the bones of a normal picnic…what you would normally expect, byo snacks, drinks and company.
And with the freedom of ground traversal we will also have an open space Jam! I’m talking about short form games of your choice unrestrained by stage boundaries (within reason I mean…you can’t go fifty meters away otherwise we’ll consider you’ve left without a goodbye but theatrically speaking…pretty wide area for performing.
I’ve dated this to be an inch before fringe season so plenty good reason to have some fun and exercise your skills for your upcoming shows!
Location…I’ve got a good spot in the botanical gardens in mind. I’ll drop a pin to this event early in the day when I get there to set up.
Whatd’ya bring? Can’t get enough picnic blankets tbh. Nor snacks. Nor drinks. Basically bring what you wish to share, it’s fine to not bring anything at all! Just your presence is more than enough.
Lastly. This is such an open event and I don’t have access to everyone who might want to appear. Whomever is invited please spread to invite to all who are interested!
