The First Presbyterian Church of Sparta is hosting a benefit concert on Saturday, October 5, where three-time Grammy-nominated Brady Rymer and the Little Band That Could, as well as Mr. Clown, a puppet show with Emmy-winning writers, will perform at the Sparta Athletic Campus Field House. All proceeds from the concert will support the church and their youth programs, plus the Tim Tebow Foundation, whose mission is to fight against child trafficking. Brady's songs are geared toward children probably 10 years old and under, but adults will enjoy the show as much as the children! Check him out on Apple Music! All songs are fun and appropriate!
A puppet show aimed at helping close the “word gap,” Mr. Clown provides life lessons that help children build their vocabulary and language skills. Their mission is based on studies that show children from less privileged backgrounds have heard 30 million fewer words than children from more affluent families, which can inhibit their success throughout life. The writing team includes
Emmy Award-winning writers from The Electric Company and Everybody Loves Raymond, as well as from children’s shows Robot Monster, Doc McStuffins, Astroblast, and Paw Patrol.
When: Saturday, October 5 from 2-5 PM. Doors open at 2 and the concert starts at 3.
Where: Sparta Athletic Campus Field House, 115 S. Sparta Ave., Sparta, NJ
Tickets: $15 (Ages 3-17) | $20 (Adults)
