About this Event

The May Event

At our May Event, we will hear from our Guest Speaker Simon Rea.

Domestic violence is a serious and widespread problem that affects individuals, families, and communities around the world. It refers to any behavior used by one person to control and intimidate another person in an intimate relationship, whether married or not. Domestic violence can take many forms, including physical, emotional, psychological, sexual, and financial abuse.

Saying no to domestic violence is crucial for several reasons. First and foremost, domestic violence can cause serious physical and emotional harm to victims. It can result in physical injuries, psychological trauma, and even death. Domestic violence can also have long-term effects on a victim's mental health, self-esteem, and ability to form healthy relationships.

Secondly, domestic violence can have a ripple effect on families and communities. Children who witness domestic violence may experience emotional and behavioral problems and are more likely to become victims or perpetrators of violence in the future. Domestic violence can also impact the workplace, as victims may miss work or experience decreased productivity due to the trauma they have experienced.

Thirdly, saying no to domestic violence sends a message that this behavior is not acceptable and will not be tolerated. It can encourage victims to seek help and support and can also help to change societal attitudes and beliefs about gender roles and relationships.

In short, saying no to domestic violence is essential for the safety and well-being of individuals, families, and communities. It is important to speak out against domestic violence, support victims, and work to prevent it from occurring in the first place.

Guest Speaker: Simon Rea

Simon heads up two organisations, one being Marcus Gold which trains sales professionals how to read their clients non verbals in order to build Know, Like and Trust extremely quickly, creating a environment where deals are easily closed and customers receive the type of customer experience that has them not only becoming loyal customers but raving fans.

The other is The Self Defence Institute which combines the Knowledge of practical Self defence with the Phycology of human behaviour and how to read non verbals of body language and micro expressions. At the Self Defence Institute we study the mindset and methodology of self defence, incorporating practical street defence techniques, with the utilisation and knowledge of Neuro Linguistics and tactical language patterns as well as learning to read and interpret non verbals along with teaching how to use your non verbals in a tactical manner. We also incorporate a study and knowledge of human behaviour and how the predator, the narcissist, the social path and the psychopath behave and think and how to combat them if you cross their paths.
