Synopsis:
The Biofunctional Prosthetic System or B.P.S, is a systematic concept which involves patient, dentist, and dental technician, and delivers predictable results and satisfied patients. Material and devices, which allow an economic and stress-free workflow, form the base for such a concept. Using the UTS Transferbow, Stratos 300 articulator in combination with the 3D template, tutor Richard Egan will demonstrate using a combination of advanced techniques to show how the Biofunctional Prosthetic System (BPS®) offers a practical combination of a systematic workflow and high-quality materials for the fabrication of functional and aesthetic dentures. Delegates are reminded that this is an advanced course and as such, you should complete the standard BPS course before attending.
Aims:
A progression of the standard course, this B.P.S technical advanced course will take a deep dive into one of the more complex cases that can be handled using the system. Using clinical data received from the Dentist or Clinical Dental Technician, you will learn how to transfer the information into the fully adjustable Stratos 300 articulator. Programming the condylar and Bennett angles into Stratos 300 articulator using the patients' individual dimensions, results in more individualised articulator excursions. Used in combination with the 3D set up template, you will create dentures with improved occlusion, function and a more harmonious tooth arrangement. A full demonstration of model mounting, and information transfer will be given before delegates use pre-mounted models to set up a F/F Class II, unilateral crossbite with fully balanced occlusion.
