The Bossier Parish Community College Theatre Program and the Cavalier Players announce their spring production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. Performances are set for April 25, 26 & May 2, 3 at 7:30 p.m. and April 27 & May 4 at 2:00 p.m. in the Stephen W. Slaughter Theatre in Building C on the BPCC campus, 6220 East Texas Street, Bossier City, LA.
Winner of the 2013 Tony Award® for Best Play, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time tells the story of Christopher Boone, a 15-year-old with an extraordinary gift for mathematics and a unique way of seeing the world. When his neighbor's dog, Wellington, is found mysteriously killed, Christopher becomes the prime suspect. Despite his challenges with understanding everyday social cues, he is determined to uncover the truth. His investigation leads him on a remarkable journey that pushes him beyond his comfort zone and changes his life forever. Filled with intrigue, heart, and unexpected twists, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is an unforgettable theatrical experience.
"This production offers our students a unique opportunity to explore neurodivergence as a theatrical gesture in an entertaining and moving mystery/drama," says director Dr. Ray Scott Crawford. "Audiences will enjoy following Christopher’s journey of self-discovery as we observe National Autism Month in April—a season of hope and renewal."
BPCC Theatre's production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time features Logan Pudak as Christopher Boone, MC Carpenter as Siobhan, Colby Garrett as Ed Boone, and Julia Parr as Judy. The cast is completed with an ensemble of characters played by Kelsea Lee, Ja'Siah Jackson, Jason Prothro, Michael Calvaresi, Madison Barfield, and Ellen Douglas.
