Sussman is my maiden name as many of you know from the Tropic Cinema, where the lounge is named for my parents, Rudy and Essie, who loved movies almost as much as books. So when I heard about a new book by a new writer, Sam Sussman, my ears perked up. Who is he? Could we be related? His story sounded fascinating so George and I went to the 92nd St. Y in New York to hear him talk about his novel which has strong connections to his life. By the time he finished his presentation we were both thinking the same thing. Can we get him to come to Key West? The answer is Yes! Please help us welcome him on Thursday, November 20.
