About this Event
Come punch and let loose as we acknowledge the pain, loss and survival of reproductive injustice and build our capacity towards healing! Held by Doula 4 a Queen and Bodiedbyeaston, this series includes four free boxing-inspired fitness classes, and a public celebration for Black and Queer bodies to explore and practice our connections to grief, rage and joy.
Using boxing as a tool for expression, we welcome non-parents/caregivers, those who are pregnant, hoping to be pregnant, or at least 6-8 weeks postpartum to process our collective grief and anger, and deepen our understanding of the discourse and practices of healing justice.
During our time together we will discuss and build our understanding of racial and health inequities and its impacts on our bodies and overall well being. Coupled with boxing as a tool of expression, we aim to create a powerful, shared path toward healing, justice, and liberation that can be felt and experienced as an ongoing practice.
