Heroes United to Heal is hosting a "Bowling for Heroes" Fundraising event on November 17th at the newly renovated Merritt Island Shore Lanes. All Space Coast Bowling Leagues, Businesses, and anyone who has served their country or communities as a first responder are encouraged to enter.
The Grand Prize, Offshore Fishing Trip, will be awarded to the team that raises the most money and presents their donation on the day of the event. We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to Fired Up Fishing Charters and Drop Zone Distillery for their generosity and in making this prize possible.
The deadline for registration is November 1st and can be done via our website www.hu2h.org.
A team may include family, friends and colleagues of their team captain who should represent the category they choose.
Since this is a bowling competition after all, there will be prizes awarded to the winning team from each category (League Teams, Businesses, and Heroes) as well as an overall winner. However, the grand prize fishing trip will go to the team that presents the largest donation the day of the event.
We need at least 20 teams to register in order to make this event a success, so don't wait! Put together your team of up to six people and register as soon as possible. The $123 registration fee includes shoes, food and beverages for the entire team.
This is a great way to come out for a family friendly fun event while coming together to solve a serious problem which is ending "hero suicide" by erasing the stigma of PTSD. Together we can get our heroes the help they need, sooner rather than later, when the VA or health insurance companies don't.
