Please join us for the 2025 FFRN Winter Conference, Revealing Family Relevance, featuring presentations by Dr. Dan Papero and Dr. Carrie Collier.
The conference will be offered in both Spanish and English with simultaneous translation. It will be held online and in-person at Albizu University in Doral, Florida.
Dr. Dan Papero will discuss his deep and ongoing exploration of Bowen's concept of the family emotional system, emphasizing the ideas of homeostasis, chronic anxiety, and allostatic load in the family as a natural living system.
Dr. Carrie Collier will present her thinking on the family as an emotional unit as originally written in the Murray Bowen Archive letters, and the development of the Family Unit Functioning Questionnaire based on the Papero Dimensional Assessment Model and her clinical research. Assessing the family's functioning using a systems approach goes above and beyond the individual or psychological model and reveals important details about the family survival mechanisms
