Free community protest and celebration that welcomes all LGBTQ+ folks and allies, recentring Pride as a protest and a place to build community. After the success of last year's Community Pride, we know that we can have a Pride that is a free, liberatory and ethical alternative to BourneFree, and that it resonates with folks who want something different. Starts 12:30, after BourneFree's parade has finished. If you feel that Pride should be a protest, march in BourneFree's parade with protest signs, banners, megaphones, flags - make sure your voice is heard, then join us in the Lower Gardens opposite the toilets for Community Pride.
Bring what you want to see to the event, and feel encouraged to be an active participant even if you haven't been part of planning it. Make a speech, play an instrument, read some poetry, add a song you like to our community playlist, facilitate an activity, or something entirely different. Last year we had a huge range of things going on, all organic to what people wanted to bring, and are excited for what energy folks will bring this time.
This day will be what we make it. Let's make a Pride that really reflects our community and that we can truly be proud of.
No Pride in genocide! No Cops, No Corporations, Just Queer Liberation!
