The "Bourbon 201 Tasting" is one of our entry level courses taught at Whiskey University. (NOTE: classes do not need to be taken in order)
In Bourbon 201 you will learn about the eight largest bourbon distilleries (out of eleven) and what makes them unique and different from one another. You will also learn about the different levels/types of bourbon that each distillery makes. You will then taste the "Flagship Brand" and some of the most popular "Super Premium Brands" that are offered by a few of the top distilleries. We will be tasting eight different samples (1/2 oz pours).
The distilleries and brands that you will experience by learning about or tasting include; Beam Distillery-Jim Beam White and Knob Creek Small Batch; Heaven Hill Distillery-Evan Williams BIB and Elijah Craig Small Batch; Brown-Forman Distillery-Old Forester; Wild Turkey Distillery-Russell's Reserve 10 Year-old; Maker's Mark Distillery-Maker Mark; and Four Roses Distillery-Four Roses Small Batch.
Water and Snacks will be provided.
