About this Event
When people talk about the global whiskey renaissance, one word often comes to mind: bourbon. While other styles of whiskey like Irish, Scotch, American rye, Tennessee, and even Canadian have their own appeal, no spirit has captivated the world's attention quite like America's native spirit—bourbon.
Are you eager to dive deeper into the world of bourbon? Join us for an engaging and flavorful journey through the fundamentals of this iconic American whiskey. Together, we'll uncover the secrets behind bourbon and savor the diverse flavors that make it so beloved.
In this class, we'll answer essential questions:
Where can bourbon be produced?
What ingredients are used to make bourbon?
How is bourbon crafted from grain to glass?
What do different types of bourbon taste like?
How can bourbon be enjoyed in cocktails?
Your experience will include a whiskey flight featuring five exceptional bourbons: Weller Special Reserve, Woodford Reserve, Western Reserve Kentucky Small Batch, Blanton's Single Barrel and Western Reserve Distillers 8 Year Single Barrel. These selections are designed to showcase the impact of different mash bills, still types, and aging techniques on the finished spirit.
To enhance your tasting experience, we'll also provide a small curated food offering that includes an assortment of meats, cheeses, olives, hummus, and other delicious small plates.
Classes are held at The Distillery, our on-site restaurant at Western Reserve Distillers, where you'll learn and taste in a welcoming, hands-on environment.
We can't wait to share this bourbon adventure with you!
