About this Event
Create for a Cause! The Founder's Park Garden Club is hosting a fabulous fall floral workshop with instructor Betty Hardy in The Gallery at Heritage. Not only will you make the perfect Autumn Arrangement to show off to your holiday guests but you'll be helping preserve a quaint little piece of paradise.
The Founders Park Garden Club was initiated by Richard and Dorris Bishop, Dan Veach, and Billie Jean Collins in 2023. The park, a long-standing feature of Columbus, was established by Dr. Othel Hand, who resided in the Historic District adjacent to the park. After years of neglect, a group of neighbors intervened to transform it into a serene and picturesque retreat for local residents, visitors, and city dwellers to enjoy, host weddings, play with their children, or simply relax with a book.
In 2023, the club was honored with an award from Keep Columbus Beautiful for this initiative. The funds raised through the "Bountiful Bouquet" event will be allocated to the upkeep of the fountain and gazebo, as well as the ongoing planting of trees and shrubs in the garden.
We look forward of sharing an evening of fun as we create fall floral arrangements to celebrate community and plant the seeds needed to make this historic site flourish. All proceeds from your participation go directly to funding for the park.
