Join us on Sunday, 29th December, for a scenic countryside walk between the historic towns of Faversham and Canterbury, starting in the picturesque village of Boughton-under-Blean. π³Our route will take us through open countryside, ancient woodlands, and beautiful orchards, passing some incredible landmarks:
π° Mount Ephraim β A stunning Edwardian estate, home to the Dawes family for over 300 years, with breathtaking gardens.
πΏ Hernhill β A charming village with roots going back to Saxon times, also known for its role in the 1838 Swing Riots.
π Dargate β A peaceful hamlet, once central to Kentβs fruit farming and hop-growing traditions.
π² Blean Wood β One of Englandβs oldest woodlands, continuously standing for over 1,000 years, rich in wildlife and history.
π Dunkirk β Named after the 1838 skirmish during the Swing Riots, and a village that played a key role during WWII.

Please note that there may not be an abundance of parking in the immediate area, but on road parking is available throughout the village.

πΎ Friendly dogs are welcome! Please ensure they're leashed when needed, especially around fields with livestock.
Before hitting the trail, make sure to pack:
π A - Suitable footwear (preferably walking boots or sturdy shoes, no flip-flops)
π§οΈ B - A waterproof coat (and waterproof trousers, if you have them) for rainy days
π§ C - Drinking water
π D - Personal medication (Let us know confidentially about any medical conditions)
π E - Suitable walking attire

Cancellations made 4 days before the event will receive a credit note for a future walk, valid for 90 days.
