A bottle episode is a TV episode produced cheaply and restricted in scope to use as few regular cast members, effects, and sets as possible. The term was coined by Outer Limits creator Leslie Stevens, who said it was like "pulling an episode right out of a bottle like a genie." That's exactly what we'll be doing in this reading series, happening periodically at the Mercury Theater, where volunteers participate in a dramatic reading of one or two television episodes. We're back with Episode #9 and this time we're traveling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. That's a signpost up ahead: our next stop: the Twilight Zone!
Doors at 7:30, show at 8:00. $3 to $5, pay what you can.
