Botanical Watercolour Painting ~ Autumn Harvest with Karen GreenSaturday 27th September 2025

Working directly from seasonal produce, botanical artist Karen Green will guide you through observational drawing; discussing various botanical features to consider. You will produce a finished botanical painting in watercolour that reflects a botanical understanding of your subject and captures the beauty of the plant. Karen, a botanical artist, will ease you into the workshop with some playful drawing exercises.
Leading on from this, through a little bit of botany exploration, she will guide and support you to create a detailed observational drawing of the flower. With one to one support and class demonstrations, you will experiment with watercolour techniques and accurate colour mixing to paint your flower. During the session you will familiarize yourself with the materials and tools needed for botanical art and the techniques used, slowly building up layers of paint to create luminosity and depth.
