** We will meet outside the Cafe at the top of Box Hill ** Join us for a botanical wander on Box Hill to search out various flora typical of chalk downlands and local orchids in particular.
In mid June we can expect to see about 5 different species of orchid in flower some of which you will only find well off the beaten track, and if you know where to look!
The walk will be no more than 5km with some ups and downs and not always on the main paths.
Laura is a recent escapee from London now local to the Surrey Hills. She has a passion for the countryside and outdoor pursuits. Laura has studied a wide range of subjects, including a MSc in biological recording. This focussed on the recording and identifying the British Flora.
Please adhere to social distancing.
You will need to dress in accordance with the weather and wear some sturdy walking boots.
