Botanical Printing Cotton Tee Shirts with a Dirty Pot

With this Two Day class, we will be printing cotton tee shirts using leaves, kitchen scraps and powdered natural dyes.
About this Event

Meeting Saturday April 5th from 1pm - 4:30pm and Sunday and April 6th from 1pm-2:pmfor a total of 5 hours, we will be printing cotton tee shirts using leaves, kitchen scraps and powdered natural dyes. We will create bundles for printing by arranging foliage on shirt, rolling it into a bundle, and then simmering it in a Dirty Pot for 3 hours. once bundles are in the pot, you will go home, to return the next day to have the unveiling of your work of art.

You will learn the recipe for a Dirty Pot of dye, the principles and step-by-step of prepping fabric for dyeing, which foliage work best for dyeing, how to make your bundles, and receive a list of resources to continue your work.
