Painting Workshop: Botanical-Inspired PlatesDate: August 29, 6-8pm
Join visiting artist, Lilia Vega-Nichols from Berea, as she guides us in a relaxing, beginner-friendly painting workshop. Participants will decorate a pre-made bisqued ceramic plate using glazes inspired by natural textures and forms. We'll explore brushwork, layering, color combinations, and mark-making techniques to create a botanical-inspired surface design. This is a step-by-step painting class, but pieces will vary.
Plates will be fired in the kiln after the workshop, and participants will be notified when their finished, food-safe pieces are ready for pickup. No prior ceramic experience is necessary—just a willingness to experiment and have fun!
