About this Event
Ever wondered how to make your own botanical infusions from wild plants? How do you harness their power and where do you begin? Maybe you're interested in creating an aromatic gin, wild berry cordial or sweet fruity immune tonic?
During this hands-on experience, you’ll explore a wide range of herbs that are perfect for making botanical blends. Using herbal knowledge, we will share with you the best ways to make herbal blends from foraged and dried herbs that both taste great and are healing for your body and mind.
Expect to unearth the delights of sustainable foraging and plant identification throughout the day and learn how to infuse herbs properly to extract medicinal properties from the plants. This is invaluable knowledge that will last you a lifetime!
You'll start the experience with a foraging walk to explore the different healing plants still around in winter. You’ll then take to the wildcrafting station to make a number of blends with the herbs you have seen and gathered on your walk. We will discuss the multiple ways to blend different herbs, combining taste and properties so you can make your own delicious set of botanical infusion blends to take home and enjoy.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and advanced foragers.
