About this Event
In this workshop, you will explore an alchemical process that extracts pigments from natural materials to create striking patterns on textiles. Working with flowers, leaves, tea, onion skins, and other botanicals, you'll learn to create one-of-a-kind impressions on cloth.
Each participant will receive a 24" organic cotton scarf, ready to soak up the beauty of natural pigments. As your bundles steam and set, you’ll also be introduced to Hapazome, a playful technique where color and texture are transferred to fabric through pounding.
This immersive session blends artistry, experimentation, and joyful discovery. You’ll leave with a small collection of hand-printed treasures and a deeper connection to the beauty of everyday botanicals.
