About this Event
Boston is the most traditional city in the USA, about 3.5 hours drive from New York. This is where the rebellion that led to independence from England originated. This is a day trip to fascinating and elegant New England town. We will visit Beacon Hill, the New England Aquarium, Back Bay, Boston Common and Quincy Market. Since Boston was the center of the fight for American independence, it is home to renowned educational institutions such as MIT and Harvard University, which we also visit. It starts in New York at 6:30 a.m. Our first stop is in the city of Cambridge and we visit one of the most famous and respected universities in the world: Harvard. The tour begins in Harvard Yard, one of the oldest academic venues in the United States. After visiting the Widener Library, we stop to “Viennese” John Harvard’s shoes, according to custom. A little luck can't hurt! We continue with the city tour and then we pass by MIT - Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Cambridge. Next we cross the Charles River and reach the center of the country's intellectual capital. We then visit Copley Square, where the beautiful Trinity Church is located. We continue with a walk along the Freedom Trail through Boston Common Park. We'll stop for lunch at Quincy Market, where you can try the famous clam chowder or lobster-filled roulades. After lunch we visit the touched site of the Tea Party and the USS Constitution. In the afternoon we head back to New York, arriving there at dusk. The tour ends at 9 p.m. near Times Square.
