Guelph ON – Mark your calendars for Saturday December 14th as Boreal graces the stage at the River Run Centre for a night of unforgettable music. This beloved Canadian folk trio - Tannis Slimmon Katherine Wheatley and Angie Nussey - is renowned for their exquisite harmonies heartwarming stories and unique ability to make everyone in the room feel like they’re part of the show.

Described by fans and critics alike as "magical" Boreal's live performances transport audiences with a unique blend of soulful intensity and lighthearted humor. David Francey one of Canada’s most celebrated songwriters puts it best:

“I’ll give you three good reasons for catching Boreal in concert. There are three wonderful writers in this band and three beautiful voices. That’s two reasons. The third is the magic that happens when these three women combine those wonderful songs and voices on stage. Each brings their own brilliance to the whole. Magical’s the word. I was transported.”

Captivating stories a festive atmosphere and homespun songs fill audiences' hearts with hope and warmth making Boreal's concert the perfect way to kick off Canada’s coldest season.

The trio’s first new single/video in three years “Shepherd of the Road” tells the story of a truck driver who helped lead Angie home during a “white knuckle” drive through a snowstorm. Inspired by a real-life experience this heartfelt tribute to the kindness of strangers has quickly become a fan favourite. It is joined on their new album Winterbirds by nine original songs and a stunning rendition of Gordon Lightfoot’s timeless classic “Song for a Winter’s Night”. Together the tracks form a tapestry of brightness contemplation and joy.
