About this Event
Join us at Centennial Hall G01 on Texas State’s campus for this special screening event and culture circle.
The College of Fine Arts and Communication at Texas State University presents the premiere of Bordertown Mind Liberator, a short documentary highlighting Dr. Arvind Singhal’s groundbreaking work in Entertainment-Education and social change. As a special opportunity, Dr. Singhal will be there in person to lead an interactive discussion following the film.
This event is part of the Education is Boring initiative, a project developed by Texas State University students, faculty, and alumni to explore new ways of making education more engaging, relevant, and inspiring. Dr. Singhal’s insights into storytelling as a powerful tool for learning will speak to anyone passionate about transforming education for today’s world.
Following the screening, Dr. Singhal will lead a Culture Circle—an open, collaborative discussion format inspired by Paulo Freire. In this interactive space, all attendees are invited to share their thoughts and experiences, exploring together the question, “How should the future of education be?” This Culture Circle emphasizes inclusive dialogue, making each participant a co-creator of knowledge. Open to all participants.
