The Instructors Training Course is a great opportunity for members looking to step up into the instructing space! The course covers elements such as planning, risk management, learning principles, effective questioning and providing feedback. To attend this course members must;
- Be a current member of a Surf Life Saving Club
- Be a minimum of 16 years old on the day of the course
- Have a current (refreshed) Surf Lifeguard Award
- Have a current (refreshed) Surf First Aid Certificate
Note that the Instructors Training Course teaches the fundamentals of Instructing rather than specific lifesaving content.
This course is a pre-requisite for the following awards;
- Instructors Award - IRB
- Instructors Award - Surf Lifeguard
- Instructors Award - Rescue Water Craft
- Instructors Award - Rock Training & Rescue
