The Boot Camp Challenge is back on Saturday October 22, 2022 at Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) San Diego! This 3-mile obstacle run is open to the public and conveniently located next to San Diego International Airport. Parking is free at MCRD.You are invited to use the fabled Marine Corps Recruit Training Area and many obstacles (tunnel crawls, log hurdles, 6 foot climbing wall, cargo net crawls) used by the young men and women in their quest to become a U.S. Marine. The Boot Camp Challenge features over 60 Marine Corps Drill Instructors encouraging and motivating runners along the course.
This is an invitation from MCRD San Diego to you and the community to experience a truly unique opportunity to be a Marine for the day, using a fun run format. The course is designed for all fitness levels and persons ages 14-114. There are no penalties for missed or incomplete obstacles. It's also a great corporate team builder opportunity!
T-shirt pickup kicks off at 0630, The Boot Camp Challenge starts at 0900, and the Awards Ceremony will be at 1100.
This event will consist of waves, starting with Individual Men, then Individual Women, then 5-person teams. After the run join us for post-race festivities, including entertainment, a beer garden, vendors and giveaways from our event sponsors. (No Federal Endorsement Implied)
