Leah is a Southern Indiana girl who dreamed of one day opening her own portrait studio. Back in 2002, she took the leap, quit her full-time job as a television news producer, and opened her studio. A year later, her husband quit his job to help her run the studio full-time.
Their major source of new clients was Google. Until 2008, that is. That's when their phone nearly stopped ringing. It seemed all their calls were coming from repeat and referred clients - no new clients from Google.
So she did some sleuthing and realized their website was no longer on page one of Google. She can't even begin to tell you the impact on their business.
It's said that necessity is the mother of all inventions. They NEEDED to get back to the top of Google and get their phone ringing again! They couldn't afford paid ads, They couldn't afford to hire someone, so she taught herself SEO.
Now Leah works with other business owners to get them to the top of Google and get their phones ringing, without the non-stop nonsense of social media posts or high cost of paid advertising.
