BOOMBOXER is a high energy alternative rock cover band hailing from Nanaimo, British Columbia. Members include Sean O'Brien - Vocals/Rhythm Guitar, Nyck Machura - Bass/Vocals, Andrew Harper - Lead Guitar, and Jon Holden - Drums. Formed in March 2025, these seasoned musicians, all within established bands in the Nanaimo music scene, decided to form a super group that wishes to play their influences and favourite songs they all grew up with and still love to this day. They are able to deliver hours of classic 90's and 2000's tunes for those who loved this era as well. BOOMBOXER's song list is full of energy and dynamic, playing songs that will have you up out of your seat with your hands in the air singing along all night long! What is Alternative Rock? It is music that was generated from the late 80's, into the 90's to now. It encompasses various styles from Grunge, Punk, Indie, and Hard Rock. BOOMBOXER has quite a varied and all encompassing song list that primarily focuses on, but not limited to, these styles of music.
