𝐘𝐈𝐊𝐄𝐒! 𝐈 𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐓𝐎 𝐁𝐄 𝐀 𝐖𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐑
This is going to be a cozy get-together, because I dislike formality and can’t remember squat. But I am a national best-selling author, screenwriter and columnist. I started writing novels twenty years ago at the age of fifty and I’ve just finished my 17th novel that will be out in the fall, so I do know a few things that I’m happy to share
I’m not a textbook. I don’t have all the answers. But I do have two decades of experience with this nonsense. I must be mad. Don’t come thinking you’ll be writing your novel the minute you get home. But do come knowing that it’s not impossible. I did everything the wrong way. Never took a workshop, or a writing class. I just needed to get something down and look at what happened. People want me to show up and talk about it. If anything, we’ll have fun. And that’s what matters.
