What We Do:

The Patricia Hart Society provides opportunities for its members to lend their time, talents, and energy to supporting United Way’s early childhood education and literacy work. Together, we can give every child in our community the skills and support they need to succeed — from kindergarten to graduation.

Imagination Library of Middle Tennessee delivers a free monthly book each month straight to children’s mailboxes.

Childcare Nashville is a child care finder that connects families seeking quality child care in Middle Tennessee with programs that have availability.

Read to Succeed is a comprehensive early childhood learning model that builds academic and social-emotional skills for children from birth through age five.

Raising Readers Nashville is a collective impact group collaborating to improve the systems and structures supporting Nashville’s families and young children.

Raise Your Hand partners with administrators and teachers to implement free, volunteer-led tutoring sessions in participating schools.

We currently have 250 members who donate a total of $400,000 annually. Your gift of $500 or more can:

  • Send 25 at-risk kids to a safe, educational summer camp.
  • Provide 8 children with age-appropriate books each month from birth to age five.
  • Ensure a local child receives counseling and mentorship to avoid juvenile detention.
  • Provide 44 students participating in after-school tutoring with transportation home.
